The whole JT circus this afternoon is being discussed on a forum over here, and the anti-Chelsea folk raise a serious point. In the FA's rules, "fixing" is defined as "arranging in advance the result or conduct of a match or competition, or any event within a match or competition." Now; wee Davey has confirmed that the Mackems were in on the whole fiasco and kicked the ball out in the 26th minute. Now, If you want to take it to the extreme, a gambler/bookie with foreknowledge of this charade could have happily laid all bets concerning events (goals, bookings etc) happening between the 26th and whatever minute. And would any of the Chelsea or Sunderland players have told their mates to place a bet on "Captain, Leader, Legend" being subbed off between, say, minutes 25 and 30? Didn't that goalkeeper (Sutton Utd, wasn't it?) get in trouble for eating a pie on the bench earlier this season?
