Advise please , a friend of mine needs to cash a cheque .

If she puts the cheque in her own bank account the money will get used by the bank to reduce her overdraft .

Does she have any other options ? As she needs some ready,s .

Advise please so that i can pass on to her and thank you in advance .

Over here you can cash a cheque and receive cash if you have a visa card as I.D. The money goes straight into your hand and not your account.
If she deposits the cheque and they use it to reduce her overdraft, what is to stop her from maxing out the overdraft straight away?
