chicago

Had a cousin who used to live in Lake Forest (about an hour or so by train from City Centre) so used to visit quite a bit.

October is a good time to go. Try and time it for Halloween if you can as it is a big thing out there.

It is a great City to visit and a good night out as well.

One word of warning. Don't stray into the South side. Makes Moss Side look like Brighton.

The weather can be hit and miss. Chicago is known for it's horizontal rain!!

The Chicago Cubs are worth seeing for their stadium and their City like success. The only problem is they'll have to make it to the World Series for there to be a game. Hmmmm....not likely. They play at Wrigley Field btw.

'cept that Cubs fans are wankers...

'cept that sox fans are worse.

chicago is a great city. had a hell of a st. patrick's day there a few years back.

great City

love their sport

My Mrs loved the Magnificent Mile

I went in August and it was roasting hot

Spoken like a fucking Twins fan. The *universal* opinion is that most Cubs fans are at the ballpark to drink Bud Light and talk on their cellphones, then more than a few of them go outside the ballpark and piss on someone's lawn. Don't bring your biases of the Twins-Sox rivalry into the discussion here. If you show up at The Cell in your Twins gear, you can expect to get the business from the home fans just like anywhere else -- US, UK, whatever. And if you are talking about the handful of Sox fan trolls on any Twins message board that you are on, you are talking about 10-15 people MAX.

it was a friendly jab sir. i've never had any bad run-ins with sox fans personally (aside from a few drunken arguments), just had to throw that in as a twins fan.
