We probably couldn't afford 3 match balls back then.
I remember being 20-years old, sat in my Chorlton bedsit listening to James H and The Doc on Piccadilly... "it's a GOAL" 10 times..!! marvellous!
Have we met or is that my age as well
You sorted me out with a couple of tickets for last season's Derby at home, mate!
I know. None this year as the lad whose tickets I use to sell as he lives abroad cancelled them yesterday.
Sorry mate! Bit of a thick moment there.
No dramas about the tickets; I always manage to sort myself out - one way or another :-)
They were given a ball each, but the matchball remained at the club as a piece of historic memorabilia
Now I know you're lying. We have no history.
And I think the ball was lost
Thought I'd posted already about this game
I was in Belize with the RAF listening to the World Service... Loads of Blues there too.. early morning when the game was on and we were pretty hung-over as I recall but it was a great way to wake up....
9 months in the Caribbean and getting paid for it... Awesome
Stayed in an old Nissen Hut we called the "Belize Hilton".... a dorm I shared with the Armourers, GEF "Heavies" and "Leccies", MT Fitters (I was one) and Painters' and Finishers (Dopeys) plus a load of Cockroaches and Mice.... Good times
