NAC has entered a unique partnershp with the City Football group, Champions Leagu semi finalist is also a member of this group.

With this partnership NAC gets the possibility to aquire Manchester City players on loan. As well as collaboration on footballtechnical stuff like scouting, creating a good sportsculture, talent development and an exchange of knowledge and experience. This partnership will last fo five seasons.

The first talks started in January 2015 when coach (at that time) Rober Maaskant tried to aquire some players in England. During the last few months talks intensified by director Justin Goetzee en technical director Hans Smulders. The starting point was the policy of NAC where they expressed the desire to collaborate with a top team.

NAC has held talks with FBO and the KNVB (Dutch FA) about the partnership and contracts.

Smulders: "This partnership has had months of preperation and we are proud that one of the biggest teams in the world chose to start a partnership with NAC. Both teams are working class teams with a rich history. NAC wants to make steps forward and a partnership with the City Football group will help with this. THey are a prominent sparring partner that will directly improve NAC".

"At NAC talented players will get the possibility to show that they can hold their onwn in a professional league" says Smulders. "NAC en City have faith that the quality of the players is so high that they will play many matches. The tainer (coach) will remain fully esponsible for the team sheat, formation and starting XI. Furthermore it is important that we keep our focus with youth development. This partnership must ensue dat also our own young players will improve"

Brian Marwood, managing director of the City Football Sevices: "We think its important that ou talented players keep developping in a highly competitive and mature competition. WIth NAC we have found a great club that fits with our beliefs. NAC has a progressive vison that balances its proud history and loyal fanbase. With this partnership our talented players will com into a challenging football environment that will give them the motivation to improve evey day and become great football players".

Can only be good news for us, another avenue for players to go on loan and develop.

Sounds good.

Have we been linked with any of their players or for that matter does anyone know if they have any players we should be linked with?

I'm fairly certain that the flow of players will be in the other direction, Divine Naah and Enes Unal are already there on loan.

With names like that I would have thought they were more suited to a loan deal with XHamster FC!

Excellent!! They're 3rd in the league and could get promoted next season. We ship our youngsters that are in need of game time there and if they don't make it at City, they can be sold off to a decent team for decent money to carve out a decent career. And if we get the next Seedorf or Cruyff then excellent!
A win-win in my eyes

These partnerships can only be a good thing. Our young players will go there and be assured game time, it's not too far from home like the other clubs so will be more appealing!
