I loved the idea behind the ticket exchange but it just hasnt worked for me because Ive got an undesirable seat (i think)

One thing that did wind me up though, I was on holiday for the Everton game and about 2 hours before kick off city tweeted that the game had sold out, brilliant my ticket must have sold, then about 20 minutes before kick off they emailed me saying it had failed to sell, why declare it a sell out?

My younger Brother was a life long city fan, who got taken under the wing Of a very special person so was lucky enough to go home and away from the age of 10 and put a 12 year unbroken run together including Europe befoure he took ill at the age of 36.
He was in and out of hospital for two years and had to miss a few games, I would spring him from his hospital bed a few time saying we was going for a walk and fresh air, take him to th game then I'd return him after the game to get a bollocking from the nurses.
Some days we would be set to go at 11am but come 1pm he wasn't in a fit state to go.

The last two years of his life city was his only pleasure when he could get there..
if what you proposed was to be in place then we both would have had our ticket revoked the 1st year for missing a few games at the last minute and I'm sure that we wouldn't have had the last 18 month with him as his only love would have been taken away...

People need to realise that everyone has there reasons for not getting there or leaving early which to me more then outweighes what some rag that dose t even go to games might say to hurt your feelings or what some hacks write in rags that you wouldn't wipe your arse on..
if a few empty seats if all we have to worry about I'll have that all day long, God forbid th meltdown if we had empty seats and early leavers without the world superstars we have the pleasure of watching

who gives a fuck about empty bastard seats.

Maine Road in the really old days had plenty of empties

J block mostly empty in the standing era unless a big game

Large areas of the Kippax standing terrace empty

    Windy corner often not full

Old platt lane half empty many times

This all day long, my rag mates don't even bother saying it to me anymore as if they did they never got a bite and I'd just look confused at them

You've not read any of my other posts. It can be treated on a case by case basis.

Your brother would be the exception that wouldn't be punished.

This is aimed at fit and healthy people who have money to burn and only go 5 times a year for the big games. They're hogging a seat that could be used.

Well good luck with that especially on match days, I gave up after half an hour on Tuesday trying for an upgrade.

But I would be punished, as I wouldn't leave my brother to go to the game when he just didn't feel up to it last minute, we would put the radio on and listen together.

I don't really think that there are as many as people think who just can't be arsed or pick and choose , there probably a few but as many have said in here the bunches of empty seats in the family stand are what the club Alicante to youth groups academy players and there family, ball boys and player escorts, i know this as Iv had expereance with it and you be suppressed how many don't turn up to take up these complimentary tickets

You wouldn't be punished as you'd quickly log in online and put your ticket on the exchange or even just call City and do the same.
