City pre-season tour of US - v United 20th / Real Madrid 26th / Spurs 29th July

allways enjoyed my friendlys at the likes of bury dale oldham and going shrewbury scarborogh and up to scotland for a few days falkirk sterling ect, but now we are trying to be a " big " club we have to do this shit, we as fans have to accept it if we want to be winning the big prizes.

One more of our fingers being prised off the game we love (d). It wasn't too long ago that we had friendlies in Wales and we celebrated that we were playing in Europe. But has been said if the club wants to expand the brand then these things must be done. I wouldn't ascociate City with that scum in another country though.

loved the Scottish tours

dont mind the other games, but the manchester derby shouldnt be a friendly or played over there. in terms of helping fitness it doesnt do much and it would be much better if we played ouur friendlies in the uk imo or played a few in the uk, but obviously thats not going to happen

I was born in Nashville. It is a fantastic city and while it won't get the attention of the other two matches, I will definitely be there. Can't wait!

I have an inkling as crazy as it sounds that it might be Austin Texas!

Texas is Central Time (CT). Eastern time (ET) is the east coast.

I'm hoping it's New York.

Especially San Diego. Spend a few hours at the beach in the morning see a match in the afternoon and then a nice dinner(or whatever) in the evening. Great city.

For us USA blues it's a pretty great thing.

Not that we're real fans of course...

Had the wildest week of my life in San Diego in the 80s. One of the best party towns in the US....especially on Navy payday!

Anyone who chooses a team is a plastic fan, as team identification is part of your socialisation and not a conscious decision in any way for real fans.

The problem is plastic fans feel entitled to strip mine the culture of real fans by pretending to support clubs they have no association with, and clubs encourage it in order to fleece the plastics.

A pretend game in america is something reel fans would ignore mostly.

bang on the money mate,we have turned into the shit over there in Salford.
