Congratulations City in the so called Group of death and qualified (which we all hoped but didnt necessarily expect!)

Qualified comfortably, forget tonight we had qualified before tonight (ala Villa last night) .....and before THEY start!

What did you want him to do put out a full team then somebody get injured then start blaming Hughes, for playing a full team when we had already got through or we needed to qualify in first place to get an easier game in the next round, then blame Hughes when the players start against West Brom and look jaded, this way Hughes has no excuse against West Brom.

Final thought what a team of soft arses they were tonight!

Good post Trigger

Most people thought Schalke would walk it and we would have to fight it out for two more places. Instead we walked it, the only team to beat us went out on goal difference and the favourites for the group miss out altogether.

Funny old game.

Brilliant post Trigger, to qualify top of that group was a tremendous effort! despite what the doomers will have us believe.

Not as simple as this, tonight we played with an 11 that were half 1st team regulars and half players who should have been trying their balls off to take advantage of the opportunity they were given.

The performance was simply shocking, Hughes needs to stop coming out with bullshit like 'we just need a few players to add to the quality we already have' because believe me we need more than a few players and quality wise we are seriously lacking. He would be better off saying he is unhappy with what we have player wise and cant wait for January. As it stands he is saying he has faith in the players we have and if they are good enough then its his fault and he needs to fucking resign!
