Family Man, then Lampard, then Barry. He should catch Lampard this season (609). A lot of Speed's appearances don't count as they were before football began in 1992 but he was behind Family Man in top flight appearances anyway (616).

Good on him. Granny Shagger will be aiming to top the lot but he will be at some mid table team by then

Never got all the England caps he should have due to successive managers' obsession with playing both Lampard and Gerrard. The England team always looked more balanced when it was Barry plus either one of them, rather than the two of them together.

thought he was great for us , disappointed when pelligrini let him go- I know pep would be a big fan of him if he was still here and that's a pretty big compliment. Covered a lot of ground , more than some outsiders may think. Picked out a pass like no other and barely ever gave away possesion - can't praise him enough. key game: the crucial 1-0 derby victory in april 2012- man of the match.
