With the news, that the F.A have decided to accept mark (the ****) clattenburg's reccomendation, that no further action be taken against rooney. Does that mean, that all players can now be a snidey shithouse and elbow another pro on the back of the head, from behind without warning?

If lescott decides to smash ashley young midweek in the cheek/neck surely that will not merit a card, just a free kick and a nod from the ref? I'm looking forward to the fallout of this precedent, which mr clattenburg, mr rooney and the f.a have set!

Unfortunately, most referees would be honest and say that they did not see the incident. The problem here is that the ref said he dealt with the incident. If that is the case, then he has given the green light to players elbowing each other - as that is what he has admitted to.
