Could the match be called off on Monday?

I put the club postcode in <a class="postlink" href="http://www.weather.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.weather.co.uk</a> and the forecast is nothing like as bad as you suggest. You must be referring to the forecast for your own area

there are four severe weather warnings for Gtr Manchester, one every day until the match. the snow fall is not an exaggeration, there is a 60% chance of 'severe' snow disrutption.... although I don't know where he got the temps from, monday night will be extremely cold, with the added risk of fog.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/nw/nw_forecast_weather.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/ ... ather.html</a>

As somebody who has a little inside knowledge on the subject, I wouldn't trust any detail on snowfall beyond Saturday from any forecast site. Some wild swings going on in the forecast in the last couple of days.

It will however be f**king cold.

I happen to agree with you, and would, in any case, bow to your opinion...

The snow is forecast for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, not Monday. Roads can be cleared but, ehhh... we'll see.

Thanks for the inside knowledge, I'll stick a jacket on;-)

The Friday and early Saturday forecasts are good enough to be trusted, mainly snow showers, and not many in Manchester. I just wouldn't trust later Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, there have been some huge differences UK wide in the forecast for those days, and could be the difference between no snow at all, and quite bad snow storms, and it varies quite a bit over fairly small distances, depending on the development of a major weather system.

I think City are pretty good at sorting this out, but a heavy snowfall overnight Sunday/early Monday could cause it to be called off, especially if staff can't get in to work to clear it, and that's the key, getting people in to do the work.

Everton permenatley play in 'dodgy surronding areas' whenever they at home, should suit them down to the ground.
