Craig Shakespeare Sacked/Claude Puel appointed

Very odd appointment. From what I'd heard Southampton fans weren't convinced by him at all and thought he'd be well gone by June.
Southampton fans are just as overambitious as Leicester. Puel got them to eighth (the best league position they could really expect) and in a world with VAR they'd have won the league cup and he'd have kept his job. Now they've got Pellegrino and are playing even worse football.

True, Southampton, Everton and Swansea had plenty of potential these past few years and have completely wasted everyone's time.

What do they expect? They sell their best players every single season and never spend anywhere near the amounts they get in to replace them. The club must be making ridiculous profits. Mid table is a great achievement given the lack of ambition shown by their owners.
