recently bouth one for work and bought this one due to the fact that it uses batteries as well as the mains as i drive a crane and there id obviously no mains.Tuned all my relevant stations in(mainly sports ones)and thought wow this is the dogs bollox until the batteries started going after only about 20-25 hours of use, this thing takes 6 'c' type batteries and they arn't cheep when you by the duracell's.anyone else experianced this? as for the radio i'm gonna have to bring it home and either give it my lad so he can listen with ease to the footie of stick it in the kitchen...............modern technology bollox

This gets reviewed as the best portable DAB (also does FM), it's rechargable (with its own charger) and claims to go for up to 24 hours although reviewers reckon about 18 hours for DAB use.

Something about the amount of work the radio has to do to process the signal means they do go through batteries lightning fast. But imo they are really good. Hi-fi "purists" slate them because the sampling rate is too low or something...I can never tell the difference.
