Realise corperate hospitality fans are not the back bone of the club .for away games stop selling tickets to everyTom Dick and Harry and prioitise loyal fans.
They have to think outside the box otherwise we wont retain our fan base. .and young fans wont stick with us

Was the atmosphere better because of those 50 supporters or because it was a genuinely exciting game? The atmosphere was great second half v Barca too, and second half v Arsenal again very exciting halves of football with things going well for us.

obviously the exciting football helped. but having 50 people at the front singing all game contributed imo, as it meant a constant noise, especially before the goals and it allowed other fans to join in and songs to spread easier.

Maybe some regular early leavers can tell us what would make them bother to stay to the end?
I think most people leave early to avoid the traffic. If they could improve the people and traffic flow leaving the ground, I'm sure more would stay to the end.

Or maybe just a load of cheerleaders at the final whistle?

We can come up numerous answers and ideas. The club already know the questions and answers. It's been up to them to change things for years, but they haven't bothered, bar finally helping 1894, and even that has been dragged out. It's not that the club isn't bothered, but it's not in their master plan. Or if it is, it's way down the list under revenue and the matchday experience. This coming pre-season they could change everything for next season.

Scrap the membership fee. Give all non-season ticket holding City fans free citizen membership cards.

Make season tickets and matchday tickets even more affordable, and much easier to buy.

Create a genuine singing section alongside 1894.

Improve searches and entering the stadium.

Improve transport after the match by working with Metrolink and the bus companies, and getting cars out faster from the car parks.

End Showsec, and only use more City stewards.

Improve bar service, and close the bars early so fans get to their seats on time.

Start communicating with the fans again, like the club used to do in the past.

Etc.

I won't hold my breath.

Liverpool, United, Arsenal etc. are all complaining about the atmosphere at their grounds and we are no different.

Agreed. When we were poor on the pitch in the 80's and 90's, It was us who would sing our hearts out to try and lift the players.

Nowadays the fans expect to be entertained before being roused into singing. Lol.

The atmosphere in large parts of the stadium is like a fucking library. Fans sat there tapping away texting shite whilst the game is on oblivious to what's happening on the pitch, many in the comfort of padded seats and an increasing number of corporates diluting atmosphere further.

Glass tunnels and match day experience bollocks. If the club arn't careful, there'll be more tourists than diehards.

Any more shit and I'm fucking it off.

Good post , half and half scarves , selfies , texting , prawn sandwiches , players screaming like little girls when they have fallen over , and you try and find a sink to piss in , its ridiculous

Great post.

If Soriano is organising a committee to improve things then you should definitely be on it...haha!!.

It's a free for all.

Once again when we are about to paly an important game, the Daily Fail, Sly Sports, etc, start rocking the City boat. Coincidence? HAS IT HAPPENED BEFORE? Damend f***ing right it has!
