Really, really good today. Seems to get even better when he is wearing the captains arm band. Some sublime football from him today. Amazing considering his personal issues to be able to perform at such a high level.

its the little things that make him stand out for me, near the end he had the ball along the east stand touch line, holding off the newcastle player, he must have had 3 or 4 kicks at him but he held the ball with such consummate ease it was taking the piss before he passed it on
