That's an amazing tribute, I'm a cynical bugger but that was really moving.
Whenever I hear of professional sports people dying in their sleep, my first thoughts are EPO. It can cause thickness in the blood, leading to arteries being blocked. This apparently led to a number of deaths in cycling.
I once read that some cyclists who took EPO would sometimes wake up in the middle of the night and do press-ups or go on the rollers to improve circulation and then go back to sleep.
EPO and Italian football have a history.
