Denayer and Mangala

How good was Mangala in Valencia this year? Read that he was good but did not see much of valencia play.

In a recent article on city watch, Mangala stated that he learned more from pep in a month than he did for Pellers in two years. The article states that he would like to stay at city and fight for his place, but that part is not a quote from mangala.

Any chance he comes back? Has he actually learned? After a year in the Prem. does pep think he may actually need defender who can both defend and are somewhat physical?

If Otamendi leaves this summer, I would not object if Mangala returned. He's a fantastic athlete who could prove to be useful in combatting high quality counter attacking outfits. It's just a shame he isn't a better footballer.

Just not good enough on the ball IMO ... Looks like a rabbit in the headlights under pressure on the ball ....

Against some teams we will need to adapt sometimes a rapid strong no nonsense centre half works
