Speaking for myself, not
@shaiomarali, he's a perfect fit for a regular fullback, ie. not inverted - which Pep will want in the squad. He's fast, can run for days, is a very good crosser, knows how to score as well, he's over 6ft and physical, which is clearly something Pep thinks of because he mentioned those reasons for choosing Fernando at RB against West Brom.
Comfortable on the ball and passing around, also has a good eye for an attacking pass and as a defender he seems to be very disciplined, stays on his feet unless he is definitely going to win the ball, strong in the air.
He'll be 25, which is a great age, but he's still on an upwards trajectory and should be adaptable. He's genuinely comfortable on either side of the pitch so he'll allow us to have a slightly smaller squad than we've got this season and get players from the academy involved.
What more could you ask for in a fullback? He could be a Premier League Dani Alves for Pep.
