People in the UK, often joke that a pig with a red rosette would win a seat in parliament in some staunch Labour strongholds, but the USA takes this to a whole new level.

So the fiscal year for Trump started on 01st October......so any 'good news' on the economy was down to prior legislation done by Obama. Trump has passed NO fiscal legislation
Unemployment was on a downward trend under Obama (despite Trump saying it was as high as 15% it wasn't. It has started to tail off now but that may be due to the hurricanes.
No meaningful legislation has been passed under Trump only executive orders. Trump critisised Obama for passing too many Executive orders 9which he had to do because in Obamas second term he was hamstrung by the majority Republican Senate / congress.
EXECUTIVE ORDERS are not legislation, they are instructions and can be undone by an instruction from a future executive arm (which is why Trump has been successful in rolling back many of Obamas.
LEGISLATION has to go through and be approved by both the Congress and Senate (the legislative arm) and then by signed off by the President (the Executive arm) unless a veto proof majority passes. At all times it can be challenged the the courts (the Legislative arm) if it is deemed unconstitutional.
Supreme Court nomination I'll give him...but that was a seat stolen from Obama due to Republicans refusing to even discuss a replacement a replacement for Scalia. So if the Republicans had done what they should have done Trump wouldn't even by nominating a SCOTUS
TPP was already dead due to opposition across Europe.
Border security ... I can't answer this one. Either the same number are entering but not being caught or less are entering because of the new regime and their view of extradition.
Diplomacy has been a disaster. USA has lost its place as a leader of the free world. State department in the USA was extremely large under Obama / Clinton but this was a deliberate policy of the administration to rely on diplomacy rather than the exhibition and threat of the military.
Flints a scandal that has being going on for years caused by a decision to take water from another source to save costs. A number of the town council are now facing criminal charges. In fact Obama administration donated in excess of $85 million to the state to help them solve the crisis.
Government agencies are still without leadership and many vacancies exist for the top jobs however there doesn't seem to be a plan in place for closing them down so difficult to state what the strategy is.
Energy rolling back of green legislation will hurt the people of the USA and the world. However since taking power the number of people in coal mining jobs hit its lowest point ever and since then only 300 have been rehired . The reason for this is because in the USA fracking is a big thing and gas is extremely cheap. As a result many of the power plants have retro fitted gas powered turbines and are obviously not going to go back.

They were investigating the Clintons for the Whitewater affair and found no evidence of wrongdoing however they did turn up Bills affair with Monica. They hated him so much the began impeachment proceedings against Bill Clinton for an act of consensual sex between two adults.

It would now seem that its ok to touch up a 14 year old (against the law) but not ok for two grown people to engage in sex outside of marriage

Never said he wasn't smart ..... however I wouldn't take his views on foreign and domestic policy as anything more than that - his views and not a learned critical analysis

To be fair, the Clinton impeachment was more about the lies and cover up than the act itself.

Although on that basis, Trump should have been impeached on 21 January.

    Religious and moral crusaders, both!

Such a fucking joke, but Hannity and Bannon tell him to just say it didn’t happen...prove it, and it is virtually impossible to prove at this point, especially if you call everyone else involved a liar and opportunist!

This guy was removed from office TWICE as a judge for....wait for it....not following SUPREME COURT ORDERS and breaking the law, yet here we are.

The Lunatics have the keys to the Kingdom, let alone the Asylum, and those of us watching aghast are powerless to stop them, as all three branches of the US power structure act in concert to allow this freak show to continue unabated.

This is what weak politicians, “led” by a charismatic bully of a snake oil salesman, look like when he controsl the world’s largest economy and the firepower to destroy the earth many times over. One Republican, Bob Corker, is seeking to stop at least his ability to push the red button without some more safeguards, but I can’t see how that ever sees daylight.

Meanwhile, the Republicans just voted to give a lifetime appointment to the Federal Judgeship of Alabama to a 36 yr old (with personal history with a few well heeled folks) who practiced law for only 3 yrs, never actually went to trial, and who tweets about “Hillary Rotten Clinton,” who he believes should be in jail! On the Committee, ALL Dems voted “No,” based on the UNANIMOUS decision of the American Bar Association’s decision declaring him unfit to serve as a Judge...the first time in history that has happened...while ALL Reps voted “Yes,” providing us the lowest ever bar recorded for a LIFETIME APPOINTMENT to the Federal Bench! Now, it is upto a few Reps in the Senate to vote against him or else he becomes a Judge for life!

    Fucking insanity defined!

Then again, given Sessions is now AG, and Moore will soon be in the Senate, I’m running out of ways to say UFB!

The USA will struggle to get over having this numbskull as POTUS. He is destroying the fragile trust people have with politicians and polotics

He was brought in as the anti-politician, and, as you rightly state, he is doing his best to destroy any semblance of trust in government...which is unbelievable, as he IS the bully pulpit of government yet is helping create even more gridlock!

If Moore gets elected in Alabama, I think the Senate will vote to remove him, which is crazy town stuff! And, with every word from zmoore’s stupid mouth he digs his hole a little deeper! Even Hannity was having trouble trying to help him answer the softball questions the right way!

Any man, who in his defence of sexually assaulting a 14 yr old, says “I always asked their momma’s if I could take them out!” is asking to be spanked by the courts!

This is where I get lost. Somehow morons were convinced that electing somebody who had no idea about how government worked or even how the world works was a good idea. Nobody who is sick goes to a landscaper to get better because they're an "anti-doctor". How in the fuck could any reasonable person believe that childish insults and racism would fix any of our problems?

Maybe because they believed that Donald Trump wasn't a cartoon character in a Disney movie nor a caricature as presented by the media, and probably is a vaguely intelligent person who shares many of their beliefs about American Exceptionalism?

Or maybe they're all just thick racists?

I mean, massively oversimplifying complex people and situations into dehumanising stereotypes in order to shape a pre-conceived political agenda mainly based around reinforcing people's own sense of superiority has never hurt anyone right?

    Oh wait.
