The companion thread to the excellent "best signings" thread.

This is just for fun - please don't get into heated arguments :-)
========
I became a City fan in 2009 or so after Hughes left... so here's my list from that time frame:

Mancini - Balotelli (was Jo until I was informed that Mancini did not sign Jo)
Pellegrini - Bony
Guardiola - Bravo
====
Note - Bravo might still work out - his form fell off a cliff though. Unless he massively improves, he's a horrible signing.

Mancini didn't buy Jo he signed well before him.

Sven -- Benjani edit that was Hughes I think. Then again no I remember Sven beating scum at swamp with Benjamin netting :)
Hughes -- Jo
Mancini -- Sinclair
Pellegrini -- Bony
Pep -- Bravo

If not for Mario's pass we don't win the league. Surely has to be Sinclair
True - but if not for Balotelli's season long antics, maybe we'd have won enough points not needing to win our final season game.

Kudos to Mancini for reaching out to a broken soul - but Balotelli let Mancini down big time.

God knows why we signed Sinclair - Mancini didn't want him - but Sinclair never, ever complained about lack of starting time. A class act.

Pearce - too many to choose, just gonna say corradi
Sven - Castillo, Fernandes
Hughes - Jo or Rocky
Mancini - Savic (hes good now, holy shit he was bad for us)
Pellers - wilf
Pep - Nolito since hes leaving already

Motm contender in the derby semi? 6-1 demolition? Balotelli played a big part in both the fa cup win and the title win. He was mental, but he played his part.

Maicon, Sinclair, and a couple of others left very little footprint.

And yet Maicon and Sinclair did nothing to disrupt the team.

Suppose you were forced to pick one of Maicon, Sinclair or Balotelli to join our squad next season - and let's say that each of them were at least as good as their form when originally signed - I'd for sure pick Maicon - possibly an asset, wont disrupt the team. Next I'd pick Sinclair - won't disrupt the team - last of all I'd pick Balotelli - hopefully we'd be able to loan him out - in our squad, he's a time bomb.
