Lots of work to do. I think today was his introduction to the PL. When under attack, don't try to initiate a counter, instead clear all the way into the oppositions half
I disagree with you. Too much work to do? due to a game? Up until yesterday, there were 25 excellent Ederson games. All goalkeepers who play with their feet or advanced, run this risk: Neuer, Ter Stegen, Bravo and Valdes suffered with this. If you do not agree, then you do not agree with Guardiola's style of play. There is no "introduction to the PL": what exists was a game, a strong team in their domains, a coach who always showed difficulties for Guardiola (he was the only coach who beat him more than he lost) and all players possibly bitten by having taken from 5-0 in the first game and by losing its great star, Coutinho. They played with a lot of claw and us times several mistakes. Otamendi failed 2 times (in the first and third goal), Stones missed a lot in the second goal and Ederson failed in the fourth goal. And they all failed to keep the same kind of ball possession game. And Guardiola will not change it.

Think the first goal is very weird, his positioning looks off and he's so slow to react to the actual effort. Also do think he should do better with Firmino's goal.

Not as much as Stones should have ! It is the worst display for us this season,typically it would be there,I was beginning to think he was flawless...........Bravo in next Saturday ? Not a prayer lol

Ederson was better than supposed by many.
1st goal:
Delph having a poor tackle and out of position, Otamendi had to help out for Delph to cover Salah,
Stones had to move left to block Ox, while Dinho did right to run behind Stones to cover the mid.
Than Stones didn't even try to block the shot, Ota did.
The finish by Ox was quite perfect and didn't give Ederson enough time to get down at it.
2nd:
Foul on Stones, who could have done better. No chance for Ederson.
3rd:
Caught by the press. 4 blues vs 5 reds. Sane or Sergio didn't get out of the red shadow, and the ball should have gone to the right.
But Stones - again - was too deep and should be higher to call for the ball, Walker was out near the side line.
Ota was being caught, Stones still lost in space and his final move to block Mané was Sunday league level, sadly.
4th:
Ed's fault of course, should have gone over the roof. Wanted to play Pep football for a counter but failed.
Bit unlucky to perfectly find Salah.
Otherwise very good passing, calm and confident, for the first time at Anfield.
No reason at all to start a debate. Good keeper.

on the 4th he didn't try a killer pass to a City player. he just kicked it with his weaker foot and completely messed it up. Out of everyone yesterday ederson should be the least of our concerns
