He's barely had to make a save all season really.

A couple of ones that weren't easy, but he's not really had the chance to show off how good a shot stopper he is yet, as a team we just allow so few shots on target.

This actually shows our defence is good. Or better, our defence as a team as in not letting the opposition have the ball.
Still, lots on here get hysterical whenever the opposition crosses the halfwayline. We will always give a few opportunities to the opponent, but defensively we have been superb so far this season. Again, as a team of which the backline is a part.

This year we finally have the Pep defense - meaning that we win the ball back quickly whenever we turn it over as our primary means of defense.

This style of defense entails a lot of risk - but with our pacey, youthful side, we're finally able to play the way Pep wants (though we're sorely lacking in depth at CB/FB which could change our ability to implement Pep's system).

He's such a commanding goalkeeper, he gives us authority, such an improvement on Bravo.
A massive improvement on the Bravo that played for us last year - but let's remember - Bravo was world class before joining our side - a superb shot-stopper, excellent on the ball.

For whatever reason, Bravo completely fell apart once he joined our side. But unexpected collapses happen to keepers for some reason (Ceasar, Casillas, etc.).

Add to this... Ederson is likely playing the best he's every played in his career - supposedly one of his drawbacks is lack of composure on the ball - so far this season, his composure on the ball has been excellent - better, probably than Bravo at his peak.

So yes - a huge upgrade on last year's Bravo - and a upgrade nonetheless even if Bravo was in peak form given his performances so far.

But - Bravo was a great keeper, just not last year - hopefully he'll return to form.

Again, this is a myth regarding his composure, perpetuated by the gutter press..

His weakness has been aerially, however he seems to of beefed up and looking assured enough..

He certainly isn't playing the best football of his career, not after 8/9 games, he's been fortunate to have a good start, what we don't need to do is crucify him when mistakes happens as they will come, his ability to bounce back will be key, something bravo was unable to do...

2 years down the line he could be the best out there, slowly slowly though!

I think he'll be the best around next season. He's a top class keeper with real cajones. Delighted we chose him over Pickford.

His speed off the line is so important. He doesn't second guess himself he sees the ball coming and he's off to collect it. Really helps our defenders out with the high line we play.
