EDS games/results 2016/17

I think Foden is just the archetypal Pep player to be honest. For one he's a CAM, and he's also a highly gifted, hard-working young local lad with shades of Iniesta/Silva to the game he plays. It's just Pep's preference down to a tee - Fernandes is excellent but he's more of a winger and not a natural CAM by any stretch. Foden is and he has 100% been earmarked as a future first team star.

Interesting line up in the U23's comp, experienced goalie and back four (albeit 3 them still young) and then young exciting very attack minded midfield and forwards.
Currently 3rd in the table after 2 games (we lost at home to Hull 1-2 in the first) but with a game in hand on top (Hull):

Goalkeeper Ian Lawlor made his first start of the season.

Captain James Horsfield, Cameron Humphreys, Tosin Adarabioyo and Angelino were the defence protecting Lawlor’s goal.

Will Patching sat at the base of the midfield behind Paolo Fernandes and Brahim Diaz while Luke Bolton and Isaac Buckley-Ricketts flanked central striker Joe Hardy.

Substitutes: Haug, Rosler, Duhaney, Smith, Dele-Bashiru

Has Ian Lawlor been injured? Wondered what happened to him

The EDS play Spurs at 7 tonight and it's being shown live on City's Facebook page.

Great to see Sancho start again. Anyone knows if he's officially an EDS player now or if it's just to fill in for Nemane?
