Effenberg - Dont give the EPL Ideas mate!

He proposed idea is bullshit, by far the best idea proposed would be a handicap system based on the previous season. 20 teams in the league and last years champions start the season on -20 points, 2nd place start on -19 and so on. Through to the play off winners starting the season at zero. So at this point we would have 69 points less 18 giving 51 points. Could be quite interesting.
Wouldn't safe teams with no chance of European football start throwing games to drop down the league to receive less of a points deduction - 17th place would be very coveted.

how about, the best team wins the league when they win it with fair and objective officiating across the board?

How about German clubs grow a pair and stop letting Bayern nick their players on the cheap?

Why shouldn't Bayern do what every other club in the league does, too. Schalke cannot complain that Bayern got Goretzka for free when a week earlier they got Uth for free from Hoffenheim. And the Bundesliga is not help when all good players go abroad either.

Bundesliga-Table after matchday 21 in the last five seasons:

17/18: FCB 53, B04 35, RBL 35
16/17: FCB 50, RBL 45, BVB 37
15/16: FCB 56, BVB 48, B04 35
14/15: FCB 52, WOB 44, BMG 36
13/14: FCB 59, B04 43, BVB 42
12/13: FCB 54, BVB 39, B04 38

Never was the second team that weak before in German history. Bayern's season before Jupp did not run flawless. The problem is that the teams behind Bayern do not distance them from the rest of the pack even if they got far more money from the others.

Rather irrelevant when it constantly goes : FCB.

Bayern nick the best players, it's probably a problem in Germany but a particular problem with Bayern. The 100m net limit is purely a reaction by Barca/Real etc. going "well Bayern have managed to shut off the market in their own league, they sit at the top with the best finances and wages and poach whoever they want on the cheap, whereas we have to pay fortunes to compete and we don't want to anymore". Now La Liga and UEFA will try and create the Bayern model across Europe to protect themselves, and much like the Bundesliga will ruin it.

Sule, Goretzka, Gotze, Lewandowski, Rudy, Wagner, Hummels should not be moving to Bayern so easily. It's anti-competitive and has broken the league. It's the other clubs fault too for refusing to have a rivalry and accepting Bayern as owners of the league, but it needs to be stopped. The Bundesliga is a pointless league to watch, and Bayern are declining from the peak of the Heynckes/Pep transition and are a lesser team and squad with the lack of competition.

We have no dominant team . Any from 5 or 6 could rightly hope to be champions at start of season. That's without Leicester, Spurs, Everton, so why mess with it.

Bayern have been top by an average of over 11 points and minimum of 5 points every year for the past 6 years, at least 13 points clear of 3rd after 21 games and you think the problem is everyone else? The Bundesliga is an incredibly competitive league completely spoilt by Bayern being in it.

Want the easiest way to improve it? Get rid of Bayern. Beyond that there is nothing that is going to fix a league with such a ridiculous financial disparity between one team and everybody else, except finding some way to take money away from Bayern and redistribute amongst the others, which obviously will never happen.
