Explosions at Brussels airport

This is the problem with the media attention the arrest of the Paris attacker got. Need t he making these arrests on the quiet and getting Intel and making arrests . Trouble is in wanting to show all they do and making things so public anyone who thinks their next mission or identity will be compromised will bring things forward. There is a big chance this would happen anyway but can't help but fee this will be a direct result of arrests and the identifying of the next group publicly bringing it forwards.

Though I accept that there is a high chance that people would find out fellow murderers had been arrested would likely come out soon enough even if not trumpeted.

that's very true mate but unfortunately as mrs merkel has opened the door for mass evacuation from the middle east, i don't see we have any choice, this country is geographical perfect for security, any threat to this country will already be within our boarders, its time to screen those here who could be suspect and let no more in

She also opened the door for thousands of innocent men, woman and children who would otherwise be drowning at Sea ... The washed up body of a little boy shocked the world - when that picture circulated everyone was saying we all need to do more ... With thousands of people fleeing war torn Syria every day, what exactly should we have done ? Build a massive brick wall at all borders ?

very sad, just another reason why we need to withdraw from the EU,seal the borders and screen every possible threat that's within this country

yea yeah lets turn all the lights off and hide in the cupboard under the stairs till the bad guys stop knocking and go away !!

This is exactly what the EU debate should not be all about - our involvement in the EU should not hinge on one topic. Also we are not part of Schengen we don't have open borders the same as they do on the continent and the govt could do lots more screening by simply collecting loads more tax and employing enough people at points of entry and equipping them to screen people as they come in. However nobody wants to pay more tax and govt doesn't want "big" govt so you gets what you pays for.

Mrs Merkel didn't have a great deal of choice because Britain , France and America decided to dictate a constitution that puts obligations on Germany. When Britain , France and America decided to start war in Iraq and thus create ISIS and then weaken all the regimes that held back ISIS they then caused the problem.

The irony that Britain sits back and berates Germany for taking refugees that It has to based on rules Britain created and the irony that the situation which has caused the exodus was very much caused by Britain should be lost on no one!

the anger should be directed almost entirely in the opposite direction ironically enough!

There is a huge amount of sense in that!

Also GB is probably the EU member singularly most responsible for the whole mess in the Middle East and by quite some margin!
