F1 Thread - 2018 Season

50% chance of showers for Sunday and here we are expecting a wet qualifying and race.

Went last year. Skip it this year

Nice bit of rain might throw up a decent start. Throw a few funnel webs in random cars and we have a proper race.

Hamilton tops both practice sessions

not really, performance convergence is actually helped by fewer changes in regulations, as there's only a finite amount of performance you can keep gaining under a certain set of regulations. It's why 2021 is troublesome as if they change all the rules again then there will be wild variations in performance.
Good point BJL. Watching a recent documentary about the Cosworth engine that ran for about 15 yrs at the top of F1 certainly concurs with your point.

How ugly do the cars look with the top rail of a playpen tacked over the cockpit !

As you were....

Season start qualifying as predictable as ever.
