Very limited player, do not think he will be here in 12 months.

Spot on. I think the reason it wasn't this summer is because we had other pressing issues. Guardiola can't do everything in 1 summer. This summer it was Hart, Nasri, Yaya, Bony and Mangala who were sidelined/put up for sale. Next summer will probably start with Fernando, Navas etc...

I think Aleix Garcia is ahead of him for the pivot role. Fernando doesnt have the skillset to be pivot in a possession based team.

Second touch is almost always a tackle. Can't see him lasting too long either.

See, if people don't think he's good enough or clever enough then fair play, but this is just not fair.

He topped Citys pass completion stats last season with 89.6%.

Now we can say he passes sideways, he isn't positionally aware or whatever people want to slag him for if they are being serious about evaluating him, but we can't say that the bloke with the best pass completion rate at the club, has a 2nd touch which is a tackle.

I see we have another scapegoat now nasri, bony look out of the door and kolarov has turned things around! Never seen him give less than 100% and I'm sure he will continue too also he will play in a 3 which will not leave him exposed!

Nobody was awful last night, just some of the fans watching it apparently.

I dont know. I thought his movement after 20 mins was stagnant and really hindered us breaking down what was in front of us.

In his defense, that's not what he does, so I think he'll have difficulty playing in this role.

Could see him becoming a utility defender or a cooler to close out games, but certainly dont see him starting many from midfield in this system.

People are looking at last night's game, which was a scratch team vs a side which put 10 men behind the ball & saying 'Yaya was shite because Pep wants this' 'Fernando was shite because Pep wants that' 'Delph was shite because Pep wants the other'.

It was a bunch of players having a run out in a dead game, who won easily. The backup midfield, striker, fullback & keeper all did ok individually but don't make a great team.

No need for anyone to get a slating at all. If they play in the first 11 & have a stinker, then it's a problem.

Replace Fernando with a 100 mil signing & one of Fernandinho or Gundogan has to fuck off. He's a stand in.
