Real Madrid and La Liga in general is not as attractive as it was a few years back. So if Manchester City were say in the Champions League they would beat Real Madrid to a world class player 7 times out of 10.

That's a big IF 'Stackmoney' ...... whilst i do agree that regular champions league football at City would make all the difference in attracting a world class player or two to the club .... Real Madrids history , tradition , and sheer reputation would always ensure that they got a share of the spoils ...... plus they can offer 'perks' that we can't to a player ..... such as free villas with pools !

It's just not the same offering a player free lodgings in Alkrington!

The rags think they are the biggest club in the world ...... but at over the Bernabau few people would agree with them ....... they have a 'we speak , you jump' outlook to anyone who dares challenge them!

You are talking about argueably the biggest football club in the world there .... and it's too good a chance for Diarra to turn down .... ask a chap called Beckham!

Hughes is now quoted as saying that he likes the player. This should have been done BEFORE MADRID GOT INVOLVED.
