Gabriel Jesus return from injury

jesus said in the days after he did it that it was all ok,a small problem and no surgery needed, arses will know he is out for a month or more pep already said it,multi-million pound deals don't hinge on that

And there's since been rumours saying it was worse than first feared and he's had/going to have further checks on it. Just because he said it was a small problem doesn't mean it can potentially be worse. Things can be misdiagnosed and I don't think him travelling back to Barcelona to visit a Dr who specialises in ACL reconstruction is anything but routine for something that apparently doesn't require surgery. As I said, I hope I'm proved wrong, but there's something about it that doesn't quite add up.

I'm not talking about the deal being make or break, I'm talking about our position - getting Alexis either for £25m or £35/40m. If you show your hand, coming out and confirming Jesus is out for the entire season, that latter figure is what we'll have to pay, given they know we're up shits creek if he is. It's all about leverage and why the club will be distancing themselves from reports suggesting that Jesus' injury is more significant than first thought whilst talks with Arsenal are on-going.

he was in barca last week, all our injuried players go to the same dr now,he hasn't had surgery, benny had his straight away,at this point gabby has said he has been told no surgery
the arses are losing alexis for nothing in the summer so they don't have that strong a hand anymore,35-40m would be stupid for that reason, half what we offered in the summer is 30m so that should be the max, take it or leave it or we wait

I’ve played all my life, competitively until a knee injury ended that, and it was foul. Nothing malicious or particularly reckless about it, though, so not that angry about the challenge itself, aside from the fact that it wasn’t even given.

But how anyone could say challenging from behind, going through a player’s leg, away from the ball, is not a foul is beyond my understanding.

It not about your understanding or anyone's.

It is about how it was seen at the time. The picture people have posted look like Townsend went through from behind but actually on the day there was minimal contact. Jesus tried to do a turn/trick and it looked like it failed, unfortunately.

I intend to watch the video again though

So have I and it's never a foul. Maybe in Spain or Italy or a country where the referee gives a free-kick every 10 seconds, but not in this country.

I think you should send Leeds your CV—a coach that will help them return to their traditional tactics is exactly what is needed to cement their place in the Championship.

I saw it live, and in replays, and I thought it was a foul then and now.

Jesus did try to do a turn, you are right there, and Townsend misjudged his ability to get to the ball that Jesus was now stepping on and instead kicked through the back of Jesus’ leg, sending him off balance and into a split, leading to an over-torsion of his knee (and the injury).

As I said, nothing particularly reckless but it was still a foul.

The doctor is a world renowned expert in knee injuries not just ACL

That Leeds team was by far and away the most successful side in their history, becoming English champions twice. Your point makes no sense whatsoever.

And are still reknown as dirty, dirty Leeds. Yes I know it was a different era when the laws weren't as strict. When I showed my lad the tackle on Bell he couldnt believe it isn't a red card
