Didn't an Italian team WIN the Champions League last year? cos' that makes sense

Don't see Germany overtaking La Liga tbh, the EPL might be a better league but the 2 best teams in the world still play in Spain.

I was having a conversation about the different leagues with a rag mate whilst playing FIFA as he was saying the goals Dzeko scored in Germany don't really count as its not a top league and that Rooney is a much better goal scorer. YCNMIU

Don't see Germany overtaking La Liga tbh, the EPL might be a better league but the 2 best teams in the world still play in Spain.

Its better to have 4 well placed teams that 2 in the final TBH.

it is mainly because italian teams are to poor or not interested in the EL. Just one or two top teams in the CL isn´t enough for this ranking

Yes. An Italian team beat a German team. This means that in this example, Germany is already almost as good as Italy. If some of the other German teams outcompeted with the other Italian teams - which they did - then Germany has every right to overtake.

If you don't think Germany can overtake Spain, I suggest you check out this website. Try changing the years with the links at the top. Germany is already on course to overtake Spain in one single year. Spain will have to do better than Germany on average to avoid this. The ball is actually in Germany's court right now.

I would love to see Europa scrapped and the top ranked League (England currently) given 6 CL spots then Spain and Germany given 5 CL spots, then France and Holland given four and carry on etc. Champions league could operate the same as Europa now does, instead of going from group stages to last 16, it could go from group stages to last 32 then last 16 then Quarters, Semis and Final. All Leagues would then take Europe seriously as there would be one competition and a very lucrative one at that. We could scrap the Carling cup so that the six teams on Europe would only be challenging in 3 competitions and a total revamp of the FA Cup would make it better for fans and all other teams.

Imagine if we had MAN CITY, MAN UNITED, ARSENAL, CHELSEA, LIVERPOOL & TOTTENHAM in the CL!
