Going on a work thing in March, decided to stay on a few days after. Staying in the centre. Not been before . Any recommendations for things to see n do? Really looking forward to it!

Oh ye of little faith. Glasgow is a brilliant destination for a visit. It depends what you’re after regarding what’s to be sought out. You have the city centre or a five minute underground ride to the West End.

Plenty of pubs with live music if that’s your thing.

Good restaurants if you spend money on going out for a meal.

Places to watch football and good patter in the boozers.

Don’t get too fresh or cheeky with the women though. They’re fierce, but will take to you if you don’t act like a prick.

You’ll love it. Great Victorian and Edwardian architecture, good gallery’s too if you appreciate that kind of thing.

All of the above until they hear an English accent. The blue painted face is not far off.

Don’t believe the bullshit about an English accent. There are 500,000 English people happily living here. People will want to talk to you. We are a friendly bunch, until people start acting like cunts. I’m sure he isn’t in that group, so he will be grand and have a great time.

A list of stuff here. Always a good boozer not far from anywhere you go.

One thing though. When talking about football, never deviate from strict neutrality when discussing Celtic and Rangers. There is always a chance an arsehole from either club will want to know why you like their hated foe over them. Steer clear of that. :)

Providing you avoid religion and politics then they’ll be fine. Old school Scottish people are great too.
