A truly iconic musician, RIP Glen.
He certainly was, his career was immense. He must have worked with every genre of American musician, he was on Pet Sounds and stood in for Brian Wilson. R.I.P.
Will I still get my meatballs
I agree he had some cracking songs and Wichita Lineman is one of may all time favourite songs - remember listening to a documentary on the radio with Jimmy Webb about the meaning and production of that song.......awesome.
R.I.P. Glen Campbell
Cheers Taxi, Scott Walker via Jacques Brel and Ne Me Quitte Pas and Glen Cambell.
Glen was a good enough guitarist to make good money as a session musician on other people's records before his individual success.
Check out this party piece that he played at his concerts.
He did his last tour in 2012 titled 'Farewell' and his last album was called 'Adios.' Alzheimer's is certainly a death sentence.
