Half an hour of perfection

Be impressed when we keep it up for 90+ minutes...

The year we won the league (68) was fantastic we trounced teams but during that season we struggled at times like West Brom over Christmas getting beat twice 3/2 at Hawthorne’s then 2/ nil at Maine rd Boxing Day, united beat us at Maine rd that season as well as stoke away, this side to me seems a lot more complete, whoever beats us this season will have to have the luck of the gods or the officials or both, City for me were unplayable at Trafford in 68 City trounced United that night plus their were many more like Fulham at Home etc, but for me this side is head and shoulders above any city side I’ve seen, to compare Kevin to colin is a bit harsh because this guy we have now is just something I’ve not seen before in a city shirt, my heart is always with Colin but my head says this guy will be better, my only worry is we don’t make Raheem into the new tony Coleman, who got more stick because he was classed has the slacker of the bell lee summerbee young combination the whipping boy at that time,
Fair points here. We were relatively poor away that year, but unbeatable at home. The figures speak for themselves.
Tbh, that side was great in the context of the time, but not a patch on today's team.
Edit. Just thinking about it. 68 team, I admired the quality, and the obvious delight the players displayed, but now you just sit open mouthed at some of the team skills on display. They are just awesome.

My favourite comment I read about the Stoke game was from a Liverpool fan ( who had just watched the world's bestest game ever) , paraphrasing here,

"this is like watching amazing porn having just had disappointing sex with your fat wife"

LOL. A Liverpool with an actual rather than supposed sense of humour.

Loved reading the article, @Lucky Toma always worth reading but you are no longer a lone voice extolling our virtues. The press can't get enough of us, if you want to stay ahead of the game you'' have to start the backlash. Thought the examples of Tiger Woods, Federer et al as being outstanding in their sports was a fair comparison but how much more difficult for a team of constantly evolving individuals to maintain that level of performance.
