Up at cock crow today to see the nation back to work.
Sat on my balcony for over an hour to wave them all off and not a sausauge stirred.
It was then that I realised our move into sheltered housing and they were still cracking zeds.
I have no idea how they defeated hitler,maybe they didnt start shooting till after dinner.
I have interacted with around ten of the older chaps made up of three bomber crew a spitfire pilot a brace of SOE operatives and four airborne.
I tip my cap to them all and big respect but who peeled the spuds ?
