"Arsene Wenger insists Barcelona should not be allowed to join the Premier League.
Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu has admitted the club will consider playing outside of Spain if Catalonia gains independence.
And his comments were backed up by La Liga chief Javier Tebas over the weekend, who conceded he could see the league going forward without the Nou Camp giants.
It has led to suggestions that Barca could play in the Premier League but
Wenger is not having in it.
The Arsenal boss believes it would make much more sense for Celtic or Rangers to enter the English game.

Last month, Football League clubs ruled out the chances of Celtic or Rangers entering a new structure.
All 72 clubs held talks on switching from three 24-team divisions to four leagues of 20 - allowing for Premier League B teams and potentially the Old Firm clubs."

I didn't even consider that as a possibility but what is everyone's thought of if Barca were to join the premier league?

Also does anyone know what the vote outcome was in regards to changing the league to 20 teams in 4 divisions?

It was a no, but the emphasis was to ensure no B teams or Scottish made up the 8 places. Don't think there would be much opposition if it was conference clubs but the conference itself might take issue if it's 8 best clubs left.

There are two other issues. One, it would also mean 4 less home games which would be a hit to the revenues of the football league clubs, so unless there was extra income promised from somewhere I cant see it happening any time soon. Two, some clubs would end up a division further away from the Premier league gravy train

Apart from fifa, uefa, the fa and the premier league being against it, none of the underachievers (arse, red dippers and rags) are going to vote this in.

Would there home grown quota have to be the same as the other Prem teams?
Don't think it will happen BTW.
