So if you make no subs in the 90 minutes you’re only allowed one if it goes to extra time? Seems legit.

Agreed, how can some tosser who calls himself a football/sports commentator and sit there and write fake news and put his name beside. Embarrassing almost. You would think they could learn the rules.

*Actually found the guys name - Charlie Wyett @ The Sun. Feel free to troll him on twitter.

I know football authorities make some pretty strange decisions, but could anybody seriously believe for two seconds that they'd bring in a rule saying you had to use three subs in normal time in order to benefit from a fourth in extra time? What conceivable purpose could there be to such a rule? And these so-called journalists are the same idiots attempting to mock Pep for mentioning that the match ball was too light.

Let's leave it to the bosses of the league to make a ruling. If other clubs in previous rounds have done the same, and weren't made to replay the game then we should have no trouble with the authorities. if they do decide to make us replay the game they could open themselves to being sued by the other clubs which have had the same problem as us and Arsenal games.

There's no ruling needed. It's an idiotic article and plain wrong.

No way anyone is going to want that game replayed. First match was bad enough

"Where any match goes to extra-time each club will be permitted to use an additional sub (in extra-time only)."

One extra sub can be used, just like in tennis you get one extra challenge in a tie break. They don't discount all the unused challenges, the extra one is added.

Just the journalist trying to read into something that's not there.
