how can i speed my computer up

hi just asking for abit of help, my computer is so slow takes for ever to load up an internet page it took me bout 15 mins just to get on bluemoon!! and then when im trying to watch some football or anything on youtube it takes about 2 days to load any body know what i can do??

What internet connection do you have, and how much RAM have you got? It'll be one of them.

I'd have put it down to Bluemoon being shit slow, but it's getting better.

Start with the obvious and defrag it 1st, then you may need to clear some shit by downloading - installing and running this:

Then close all other applications - open my computer - right click C/drive - click properties - select tools - click error checking - un-check automatic and select "scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors" (It is vital all other programs are closed before you run this task) turn off your monitor and head for your local as it will take a while.

Only your internet connection can be at fault for that. The speed of your computer has little bearing on how quickly web pages load up.

If the Hard disk drive light is flickering alot then you need more Memory (RAM). The computer will use the hard drive to process data when the ram is runnning at capacity. right click on the bar at the bottom of the screen and select task manager. In there select performance and it will give you a picture of where your strugling.

I looked at a machine for a frien recently that had the same issue as you have and it was down to a load of shit being installed. software rebuild would be the best option. Takes about an hour or so and costs nothing (if you do it yourself)
