Not sure he wishes them well in the way he would wish Wales well against England.

He said,
"Manager Sir Alex Ferguson would say himself it is very difficult to do.But trust me, it is something they will try to achieve. Good luck to them."

I wouldn't read too much into it. Saying that would you blame him for wanting his old team who haven't done anything wrong to him to beat the team that sacked him in such a disgraceful way?

No opinion either way, I just wondered what Bluemooner's thoughts were.

Personally I liked MH, and thought he tried to do his best when he worked for us.

Yet again an old boy's team capitulate. And the blind officials miss a clear offside. Meanwhile the sour old pisscan accuses the FA of victimising his team and insults some policeman who has the temerity to point out that shrek is a role model for impressionable teenagers.

And did anyone else notice Plug in Torres' face the other night after the "dive"? No action taken as usual.

Arrived at Piccadilly tonight the place was full of vermin taking pictures of each other.

ditto re your opinion of Hughes.

its interesting that this quote should appear..another recent i/v had hughes speaking about utd as"we"..it may have been a slip of the toungue/type error..but to me it sounds as tho he,s putting himself out there...

Maybe he sees himself as a an attractive option to replace fergie...should bacon-face actually win the treble and decide he can,t trump that, goodbye.

What better incentive for him to try and stop the club who,he feels ,humiliated him.

The bias and cheating in order for them to win games is now becoming epidemic.
they won't admit it but it must even be embarrassing to them.

Btw yes they are vermin, don't mind proper rags but the plastics are true vermin.

They won't be embarrassed by it 'cos they believe that that is their birthright. Come what may, teams play better and lo and behold the MANUre goalie scoops one from a yard behind the line and the lino is having a pedicure on the touchline and misses it, a well-known fake goes down on the hour in the oppo pen area and that paragon of refereein' virtue, Old Mother Riley duly obliges, it's a free kick to the defence but a MANUre striker kicks the ball into an empty net and the 'ref' allows the goal, there are goal-scoring opportunities for the opposition denied by the Serbian war criminal and the guilty party receives yet another yellow card instead of the mandatory red, and it goes on and on and on, an' they come to think that that is the way matches should be refereed - outcome being MANUre win by default on a more than regular basis.

Manchester United can win Treble, says Mark Hughes

Hughes believes United's experience will help them end the season strongly Fulham boss Mark Hughes said Manchester United can win the Treble this season after watching them defeat his team.

United are 10 points clear in the Premier League, lead Chelsea after the first leg of their Champions League tie and are in the FA Cup semi-final.

"They could win everything," said former United striker Hughes.

"They are ticking games off and when you get to this stage of the season, they have been here, understand what needs to happen and what it takes."

"It is a big ask," added Hughes of United's chance of repeating the feat. "Manager Sir Alex Ferguson would say himself it is very difficult to do.

"But trust me, it is something they will try to achieve. Good luck to them."

Ferguson made eight changes to the side that defeated Chelsea 1-0 in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday for Saturday's league match against the Cottagers at Old Trafford.

But it did not knock United out of their stride as Dimitar Berbatov and Antonio Valencia scored first-half goals as the home team ran out comfortable 2-0 winners.

"It was a result but I wouldn't say it was a job well done at all," said Ferguson.

"We were a bit casual and lackadaisical. In the first half we played some very good football and could have scored a couple more.

"But we became wasteful with our possession in the second and might have suffered for that."

United have six league fixtures left and take on rivals Manchester City next Saturday in their FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

"Winning is the name of the game right now," added Ferguson.

"There were no injuries and I was able to rest a few players against Fulham. Everybody has come through fine."

Valencia scored United's second with a close-range header after 32 minutes and was replaced by Michael Owen with 20 minutes of the match remaining.

"Valencia is a marvellous footballer," said the United boss.

"We chose the right time to take him off and get him fresh for Tuesday. He will have an important role to play then."

Perfectly rationale and factual comments from Hughes, but you may catch a few with the headline...

Last week alone:

2 Down at West Ham and somehow Vidic stays on. Should have been a red.
Soft penalty also for the equaliser

few days later, blatant penalty to Chelsea not given. Whats the point in 4th officials behind goals when they never act

few days later, breakthrough goal offside but allowed to stand.
