...that the normal award of compensation for imprisonment following an unlawful arrest is £1,500 for the first hour; a sum which reduces for the hours that follow it.

If you were to receive £1,500 per hour for being imprisoned, how long would you be prepared to sign up for?

The rules of the game are that it's a Cat A prison, surrounded by murderers and rapists, but you've got to do the time that you signed up for at the outset. There is no 'I'm a Celebrity' flouncing out.

Me? I'd do twelve months. That's £13 million, give or take, and I reckon I'd be ok on the inside of a prison. I reckon I'm streetwise, clever and funny enough to survive the ordeal, but I wouldn't want to endure more than twelve months, especially with £13 million waiting for me on the outside.

How long would you be prepared to be away from your loved ones?

Genuine question, do they have access to internet 24/7? If not then not very long. Can you walk out in this game at any time or do you have to do the time you sign for?

Could I do it just on weekends? About 16 and a half years sounds fine in that scenario.

if it's solitary, under Anders Brevik style prison with en-suite, university halls style furnishings with flat screen TV etc. then minimum 6 months, but I may stay longer.
