she's a proper blue and football daft. a lot on here will have seen her with me at games, home and away including some european ties.
anyway we are watching the lids game and she hates bacary sagna, dont forget he got zab sent off, well in her book thats war. of course he only go's and scores does'nt he(good goal) well she's feaked, "it would be him would'nt it" etc.
we get on to refs and i say i hopewe dont get clatternburg again all season, quick as a flash she snaps "so do i , i prefer the fucking arsehole" i pissed myself, no explaination reqd we all knew who she meant:)

My wife is fantastic, great cook, great mum to the kids, pays her way and best of all does not like or care about football.

She asked me when we got married "I don't have to start liking football do I" and I said absolutely not..and its worked well ever since.

Always a winner, very shallow of you mate to mention it though....

Great thread, I love my wife too but not because of football.
She nursed me back to health after a year of paralyzing arthritis, which left me confined to a bed for 12 months with the only way to walk was by leaning on crutches.
Whenever i need to go to the ER in the middle of the night she would drive and stay up with me till 3AM.
She comes with me to all of my doctors visits and never complains.
I'm a lucky man and i still don't know what she see in me.

Bill, you know my dearly beloved too. We've done 25 years and she has never complained about me going to footy..... ever.
Whats more she likes the blues and has learnt the offside rule...

But does she know that you can't be off-side from a goal kick?

my wife , who is from asia ,and has only watched football for the last 3 years, and is finally getting to grips with it uttered the words last week i have been longing to hear her say, she actually said to me " i hate united innit ". she couldnt have made me more happy

i love the fact that my girlfriend has no interest in football whatsoever but still comes out with little nuggets of knowledge like "oh good game for us today. tevez played well" makes me smile.
