Ian Carlo Poveda

Been told we've signed him. Another impossibly talented young attacking midfielder.

He's out in Croatia at the moment with our u18s and I suspect he'll excite many next year. Seen him a few times for England u16s and he stood out in that team in a side full of exceptional talents.

That's a little background about the deal.
Tricky little lad for sure but we're wasting our time on him, he'll be crippled by the time he's 18 going off some of those tackles.

Mark Allen, Academy Director. Think Brian Marwood has a certain influence as well.
Cheers man. It seems pretty clear we are loaded up in the youth ranks. About 5 years down the line, whoever is responsible is going to be hailed a damn hero if a few of these kids become stars.

Noticed we must've signed him the other day as Lorenzo Gonzalez started following him on Twitter (along with all loads of other U18s). Thanks for confirming @twosips

Seems we're definitely overloading with the talent in the attacking midfield/wide positions. However, that can only be a good thing as some don't always have the character to match their ability or can suffer injuries at the wrong time.

Let's hope at least two or three make it as first team regulars in the future from the pool of Sancho, Brahim, Poveda, Garre, Foden, etc.

WOW!!!!...we have some really serious talent coming through...I think we will find out in the next couple of years just how good they might become. Brahim, for example, will be almost 19 by then.

On the bench for the u18s today, so he is officially a City player now.

Some of these lads look to be getting loads bigger, obviously cause of age, but bulkier too.

Ian, and even Lorenzo Gonzalez look to be putting more muscle on, preparing for EPL toughness perhaps.

I think City know that some of these lads are probably good enough to play first team football somewhere but what is holding them back is the neglected physical development and therefore end up having to play another season in the EDS where sometimes they go backwards.

You can see from the Chelsea youth development they most certainly look at the physical development as well as technical.

I thought ICP looked like he needed to put on muscle at the beginning of the year.

Gonzalez looked like he was going to be an absolute tank from day 1.
