I say it every single year, and every year it's exactly when the stupid level flapping starts.
If you take one thing with you into next Summer it's this;
WE DO NOT SIGN PLAYERS DURING THE 3RD WEEK OF JUNE.
Most of our top brass are on hols. In normal years the gaffer takes it as hols and most football administrators across Europe are on some sort of leave. Granted, some spanners get thrown here when Euros or WC's are on, but people need to reserve the flapping in June, especially on the 3rd week of June.
Most players are paid up until June 30th, so no club will bite early and incur a weeks wages when they don't need to, especially as the registrations cant be filed and no football is being played by these players.
So next June, when it comes to the 3rd week, be like the football industry and take the week off.
Save the flapping for the last week of the window, and enjoy it :-)
