Picture in the mail of Ilkay on Instagram hiking in some woods in the pissing rain. Hashtag 'British weather.' Well FFS Ilkay pick your day. We've had some lovely warm days here recently, just choose the right day, there's no need to go hiking in the pissing rain, even in Manchester. Knob.

That's a dreadful thing for him to say. Get well soon, mate.

won't click on the link for the mail, but seen the instagram post, it's a good pic and cannot see why anyone would call him a knob for the hashtag.
Britians reputation is for cold, wind and rain like most of northern europe and the pic sums up our climate perfectly, I expect if he was hiking in the black forest and it was pissing down he would have put german weather.

Just glad he can walk unaided and is recovering well.

If you took the trouble to read the post correctly, with the correct punctuation, you would realise that the 'knob' was for going out in the pissing rain when he did not need to. Don't think that's going to aid anybody's recovery.

Ok I take your point, you were refering to hus choice of day, though hiking in the rain can be quite invigerating tbf, done the pennines on a winters day many a time.
