Either would be stupid.
Delph has the considerable saving grace of not being a twat.
Dodged a bullet with this one..
Out of curiosity: Because you think Barkley isn't good enough or for some other reason(s)?
Probably both. Only reason anyone looks twice is he is English.
Was it two seasons ago, when he really looked like quite a player? And in a recent game I semi-watched, he looked really good.
And isn't the "home grown" aspect something we need to address or at least put into consideration for next season?
Just don't see where he fits into our team. He isn't a Yaya replacement, he is not another Silva, KDB, he isn't a Fernandinho or Fernando, and he definitely isn't a winger who can get down the line. He is a decent English player, who would be a good deal for Everton or a West Brom/Stoke.
Let me ask you a question: Do you think he could get a game with a top Spanish team? Italian? German? Do you think he is one of the missing pieces to get us the League? Champions League?
Whether you like him or loathe him the poor fucker does get some bad injuries.Broken leg now.
Yer've hit the fuckin' nail right on the head there,Oakie. I loathe the fucker!
Latest reports are hopeful he hasnt suffered long term damage.
