Taking over from Mark Allen. Seems like a sensible appointment in the short term.

IMO City should look at Wim Jonk from the Cruijf foundation.

He was academy director at Ajax and did great things before they got rid of Cruijf and fired him. He is alongside Pep the only 2 disciples of Cruijf so would fit perfectly if he were open to it

I could see the sense of that surely. No k however has a mind me of his own that sometimes get him in trouble. Think he's on a look out in Belgium somewhere. Like you say a definite Cruyff pupil.

Is this the guy who played for Wednesday and who the fans called Jim Wonk because of his footballing expertise?

This may be just coincidence but Blackburn Rovers head of academy Eric Kinder has just left his role this morning

He and Wilcox apparently go back a long way

Has anyone heard anything about him getting a role in our academy alongside Wilcox?
