Nah, Koyaanisqatsi is!

Wow, Bozo!!

You're not JUST a clown...

You're a CLEVER CULTURED clown!!

Way up in my estimation, you go, sir!!

Awesome film! Pure spectacle.' Mesmerising', 'wonderment', 'self realising'... just a few of the words I can think of to associate with this magic piece of art!

Ah! Finally I have found someone who shares my love for it!!!
Amazing piece of film, I think most people don't 'get it'. There's nothing else like it out there (except maybe Powaqqatsi and Naqoyqatsi!)
And Philip Glass makes it what it is!

Never knew there was a third film! And to think how long Godfrey Reggio spent making the first two films, I think it's astonishing he found the time and patience for the third!! I'll have to track it down! And, yes, Glass' score is absolutely central to the experience.

And, Bozo, why the fook don't people get the film, when what it tells us is all around us?? I don't get people sometimes!

The other two don't come close to the first, but they are still great. You can find them all on Google Video, but it doesn't do them justice.
Most of the time when you show people clips you get the usual "it's shite, it's just loads of clips sped-up"
It's MUCH more.

Totally agree! Had to do a thesis in film school on "Koyaanisqatsi". I was so engulfed with it, I had to write everything I felt in connection with the film. Then I was objective about what I saw. My tutors were impressed about what I saw the first time round, so I'm happy!

And, yes, I wasn't as enamoured with what I saw of "Powaqqatsi", as the first film was such a mind f#%k, it was always gonna be a hard act to follow!!

Still, I'm after all three, so I'm downloading them now! :)

Just watched it again.

Just how good is that film! The tension created by a couple of barrels bobbing in the water and some fantastic music is amazing. Is it the best film ever made?
And one of the best throwaway lines EVER!! "You're gonna need a bigger boat." Class!
