Manchester City are set to offload Joe Hart – throwing England’s World Cup plans into chaos, writes Steve Bates in the Sunday People.

The Blues' new boss Manuel Pellegrini has finally lost patience with the Three Lions' first-choice goalkeeper after a series of howlers and wants to bring in Barcelona No.1 Victor Valdes.

Roy Hodgson is sticking by Hart and is set to play him against Germany at Wembley on Tuesday week, but news that City no longer rate him will be another huge blow to the 26-year-old's confidence.

Hart thought that he was being kept out of the firing line to restore his fragile confidence – but Pellegrini will stick with back-up keeper Costel Pantilimon at Sunderland on Sunday while he scours Europe for a new No.1

10 minutes in Khaldoon makes it pretty clear that Hart will be here long term.

Re: joe hart

Good news...Hart needs to earn it and should realize it is not a privilege ..no more seniority complex bullshit

Re: joe hart

Once again I say: I will not believe anything the media says UNLESS it is backed up on the MANCHESTER CITY OFFICIAL WEBSITE!! If I swore there are quite a few swear words I could use for that 'reporting' by the People newspaper and any other media outlet.

Leave Joe alone for goodness sake. He will return better than ever. I support Costel because he is on the pitch and is a City player, and I support EVERY City player, as I will support Joe when he comes back.

Re: joe hart

it must be true, I mean its not like the Trafford mirror ever writes anything negative about City without good cause is it?

Re: joe hart

Have I any sympathy for Joe Hart..Not really.

If he is sold and it is a big IF then we move on,just as we did when Mario,Tevez etc etc were sold.
