John Stones - 2016/17 performances

    Figured it's time to start this thread. Thought he was splendid with distribution, positioning and controlling play back there.

    Some claim he was at fault for their goal. Buaaaaasa! @Bluearmy was that you?

    I cant recall him putting a foot wrong. Their goal was a direct result of a fairly nice pass, but mainly three city players not dispossessing januzaj on the right.

    Stones was superb.

    He wasn't at fault for the goal. He went to close down the ball which was the right thing to do but Sagna didn't pick up Defoe. I thought he played brilliantly his first game, especially after having hardly any training time with us. Still amazes me how calm he is on the ball at just 22. I'd love to see his passing stats for that game.

    He was class. Lost count of how many headers he won. Always wants the ball too
