Wasn't this the season when a TV strike prevented most of the early games being televised?
For example, I've never seen any footage of the September victory over Spurs when they turned up in Sky Blue away kits, the defeat to Sheffield Wednesday, or the 2-2 draw with West Ham.
There was also a Saturday morning all-ticket match against Chelsea, when the Chelsea fans were supposed to be banned from all their away games.

Possibly the only time in living memory when City scored from a long throw, although Wilson being the smallest player on the pitch suggests that it might have been an accident.

The throw-in was flicked on by a certain City striker.

Very much akin to a win at Maine Road against Liverpool back then, mate!

Too true, and not dissimilar to the success of the Davies-Lillis partnership at White Hart Lane in January 1986, and the subsequent 21 month wait for our next away victory. (4-2 at Bradford)

Curiously, only McNab and Simpson featured in both games, whilst the attendance at Bradford (14,814), wasn’t that much smaller than Tottenham (17,009)
