I'll never forgive him for missing that penalty at Cardiff, it was like a scene from Game of Thrones on the wasteland by the coach park after that game
My fault that. As he was getting ready to take it, I announced to everyone around me that he'd never missed a penalty for us! I seem to remember Curle had a goal disallowed in that game as well.
Afterwards was mental. Terry Phelan was a legend that day - as thousands of Cardiff fans invaded the pitch at the final whistle, hundreds of them making their way over to our end to call it on, who should emerge out the other side of the seething mass to applaud the travelling blues but Phelan.

I think you're confusing him with a Scouse who had one decent game for us!
Curly Whurly was a favourite of mine. A very classy centre-back, who was like lightning.
